We're all relatively new to DW, and that means we're likely going to meet a lot of new people. But, where to start? How can we break the ice and get to know each other?
Perhaps a quick friending "meme" would be just the thing. Copy and paste the below as a reply to this thread, and let us know what kind of writer you are. Answers can be as vague or as specific as you'd like.

Reading
- Your favorite genre/s: Fantasy (urban, high, contemporary)
- Your favorite author/s: Tamora Pierce, Charlaine Harris
- Your favorite book/s: Sookie Stackhouse series, Harry Potter, the Bartimaeus Trilogy, Eyes Like Stars
- Your favorite character/s: Remus Lupin, Eric Northman
- Least favorite book/s: Twilight series (looking at the previous answers I think I am in good company here)
- Least favorite characters: Bella Swan, Edward Cullen
- Recommended reading: Sookie Stackhouse series for vampire fans, the Bartimaeus Trilogy for Harry Potter fans. Also Neil Gaiman and anything by Tamora Pierce.
Writing
- What do you write: (YA) Novels
- Your favorite genre/s to write: Fantasy (urban)/paranormal
- Do you write fanfiction? Not anymore. When I did I dabbled in Harry Potter, Gargoyles and X-Men amongst others.
- Do you write original fiction? Yes, yes I do.
- Current project: Bones, a YA paranormal about a dying girl, a ghost boy and a decades-old murder.
- An area you'd like to improve in: I'd like to strengthen my third-person writing. I've written first for so long that it's much easier to write. I can just let my character "talk", while in third-person I actually have to do the work.
- An accomplishment you're proud of: I have one completed novel (currently in editing before I start querying agents). Writing 80 000 words for one thing is a huge accomplishment for me.
Other
- Hobbies: Web design, reading and reviewing what I read
- What's in your journal? Mainly stuff that has been crossposted from my regular site (writing and tech, plus general stuff), and from my book review and discussion blog.
- Why did you move to DW? It's a new place to go, it's fandom and user friendly, and it looks cool. :)
- Favorite energy drink? Does Coke count?
- Anything else? Nope, I think that's it really. :)
