General

- Name: Catherine
- Age: Classified. (Over 21, though.)
- Location: U.S.A.

Reading

- Your favorite genre/s: Sci-fi, fantasy, historical fiction, plays, anything good
- Your favorite author/s: Tolkien, Shakespeare, E. Nesbit, Dostoevsky, Mann, Philip Pullman, Alexandre Dumas, Annie Proulx, too many to list.
- Your favorite book/s: LOTR, Hamlet, Five Children and It, Joseph and his Brothers, The Three Musketeers, The Brothers Karamazov, Brokeback Mountain, far too many more to list.
- Your favorite character/s: Far, far too many to list!
- Least favorite book/s: I've mostly repressed the memory of books I hated, but there was an archeology text so badly written that it turned me completely off a subject that had interested me since I could formulate thought.
- Least favorite character: Uriah Heep. He's brilliantly written, but he never ceases to creep me out.
- Recommended reading: The Bible, but with a really fresh eye and one's religious beliefs left very firmly out of the room. Anything by Charles Dickens, because everything he tackled is either still with us or is coming around again.

Writing

- What do you write: Fiction and non-fiction (the latter is published).
- Your favorite genre/s to write: Sci-fi, fantasy, historical stuff.
- Do you write fanfiction? Torchwood, LOTR, Star Trek TOS, Alien Nation, many others.
- Do you write original fiction? I did when I was a kid, and I'm about to again.
- Current project: Tardis BigBang piece that's due in June.
- An area you'd like to improve in: Repetition, comma usage, killing my darlings.
- An accomplishment you're proud of: Cutting excess verbiage considerably while keeping the lyricism others have praised. Bless Annie Proulx for her beautifully spare style!

Other

- Hobbies: Reading, writing, photography, sewing, embroidery, walking, stained glass, knitting, weaving, making things, cooking, baking, anything creative or interesting.
- What's in your journal? Fan-fiction, political stuff, thoughts, some personal stuff (mostly f-locked), the occasional bit about my professional life (always f-locked).
- Why did you move to DW? I haven't exactly moved, but I really wanted a truly viable alternative to LJ, and DW seems to be it. I'm a lot more comfortable here than I have been at any of the other alternate sites I've tried. :)
- Favorite energy drink? I don't do energy drinks. Well, unless you count coffee...;)
- Anything else? I'm a busy musician in RL, and am involved in animal rescue. I'm often off-line for these reasons.
